Video
If you include videos, please follow these guidelines:
- A short description or caption (if needed)
- Alt text (if applicable)
- Clear instructions for where you want the video placed on the page
- Link to video and/or embed code
Example:
Video Placement: In the “Customer Testimonials” section
Description: “Video of customer feedback”
Alt Text: “Video of a satisfied customer talking about our service”
Hosting recommendations
We highly recommend uploading your videos to a hosting platform like:
- YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/
By default, YouTube allows videos to be embedded on any website. This is great for broad visibility but doesn’t offer fine control over where your videos appear. - Vimeo – https://vimeo.com/
Vimeo offers more advanced privacy options — including domain-level embedding, which lets you restrict your video so it can only be embedded on your own website. This is ideal if you want to control where your video is displayed.
Then simply send us the link, and we’ll embed the video on your site.
This approach improves:
- Faster page loading
- Better streaming experience across devices
- Saves storage space on your website hosting plan
- Easier to manage and update videos independently
Vimeo domain-level embedding
Vimeo offers privacy controls that allow you to limit where your video can be embedded — for example, on your website only. This protects your content from being used or embedded elsewhere.
- How to restrict Vimeo embeds to your site:
- Go to your video’s settings and click the Share button.
- Select the Embed tab and open the dropdown under Embed privacy.
- Choose Specific domains.
- Enter your website’s domain (e.g., yourwebsite.com) in the Allowed domains field.
- Hit the + button or press Enter to save.
