Audio
If your update includes audio content — like voiceovers, podcasts, or background music — here’s how to send it to us so we can embed it properly on your site.
What to Include:
- A short description or caption (if needed)
- Alt text (for accessibility, e.g., “Audio clip of customer testimonial”)
- Clear instructions for where the audio should appear on the page
Example:
Audio Placement: Below the “Testimonials” heading
Description: “Customer voice message”
Alt Text: “Audio of client describing their experience with our service”
Hosting recommendations
Where possible, we recommend hosting audio externally and embedding it on your site, rather than uploading it directly.
Recommended platforms:
- SoundCloud–
- Spotify
- Private file hosting via Dropbox, OneDrive, or similar
Why use external hosting?
- Saves storage space on your website hosting plan
- More reliable streaming
- Better audio playback compatibility across devices
- Easier to update or replace files in the future
Once uploaded, simply send us the embed code or a public share link (depending on the platform).
We can host some audio files directly on the website depending on file size.
Sending Audio Files Directly
If you’d prefer to send us the audio files:
- Use common formats: .mp3, .wav, or .ogg
- Do not embed audio files in documents or emails
- Attach files directly to the email or share via Dropbox/OneDrive link
- For large or multiple files, ask us for a secure upload link
Need Us to Upload the Audio for You?
If you’d like us to upload the audio to a platform like SoundCloud on your behalf, you can:
- Share your login credentials (via a secure method)
- Or, add us as a collaborator or team member, depending on the platform
We’ll handle uploading, privacy settings, and embedding.
